‘Cantos de Xícaras’ is a ‘tea-play-experience’ that is born from the desire of the actress and creator of the project to revisit many letters, songs, notebooks of poetry, newspaper articles, magazines and photographs that reached her hands through the guards of the women of her family, and unite with this material other stories and treasures of other women, in order to weave a patchwork of rescued, recreated, revisited and invented stories from so many voices that are on the verge of oblivion.
synopsis
Forgotten on a dusty shelf and on the verge of entering the sharing of goods from a family from São Paulo, a centenary cup decides to share his reflections with the public and rescue the memories of his time of existence. Time-resistant relic, she is the only one of a seven-cup family that has remained steady after so many decades. Realizing that he is about to be boxed, that he no longer participates in the teas of old and on the verge of oblivion, she decides to revisit so many stories that she has witnessed and that she keeps in the crease of her porcelain, giving voice to the memories of the mouths that kissed her and who accompanied her on so many afternoons of tea, on cold nights, on sunny mornings, with the desire that these voices remain present next to the permanence of this cup in time.
